Spooks at Brunel University
Wednesday, January 9th, 2008…well not actually real spooks (..i don’t think..) but from the popular BBC Television series Spooks.
The last episode of Spooks (series 6 episode 10) was partly filmed on Brunel’s uxbridge campus. Not that anyone told me, i just recognised it when it was on over the christmas holiday.
The first scene is inside the libary extension - the glass fronted building in which the “sniper” is hiding out in an empty “office space” to get a view across to the “restaurant” - The hamilton centre’s bar The Hub. The Spook “Ben” then arrives and goes to get the sniper, a corridor from the engineering and design school is used as the spook tries to track down the sniper. When the camera shows what the sniper is looking at through his scope you see the balcony of the hamilton centre, this is the outdoors bit of The Hub which is one of the bars here at brunel.
